Discover the Art of Cyanotype Printing with Eden Pieper at a workshop for beginners and artists at Muscardini Cellars on Saturday, October 25th.
Create beautiful deep blue images using one of the oldest photographic printing processes. Harnessing UV light and your own chosen materials during this 2 hour workshop, we’ll use traditional botanicals and use found objects to create your own cyanotype printing. Participants are encouraged to bring any materials along especially natural items and a sense of curiosity and creativity.
The workshop ticket fee is $55 per person and includes materials. Wine available for purchase by the glass and bottle during the workshop.
Our current artist’s work in residence at Muscardini Cellars is by photographer Eden Pieper. You may view her work “Light & Shadow” display at our tasting room through the end of November.
Eden’s work is an exploration of the delicate nature between light and shadow, two forces that shape our perception of the world. She seeks to evoke the mystery of light’s ability to both reveal and conceal life around us. Through the medium of photography, she invites viewers to explore the delicate interplay between illumination and shadows. Her work is multidisciplinary and combines the use of digital photography with aspects of film photography and incorporates the handmade mark in her artworks. Her photographs taken after dark utilize available natural light. Her focus is on her travels along Northern California photographing the images that you see in the exhibition on display, from downtown Sonoma to the surrounding fields.
